The new tablet from Sony is called the xperia tablet z, according to sony this tablet is fully waterproof and totally dust resistant and it can be taken into the bathroom. :). It was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. It is expected to go on sale in May, Its release follows the Xperia Z smartphone that Sony announced last month.
The company said that the high quality screen and fast processor will make the tablet ideal for use at home, whether as a stand-alone computer or as a second screen while watching television.
“The Xperia Tab is intended to restore Sony’s core values in the minds of consumers rather than change the tablet market status quo. The company only has modest expectations for sales of the device, which is very much aimed at the premium end of the tablet spectrum,” said Tony Cripps, an analyst with Ovum.
Mr Cripps added: “The Xperia Tab may prove to be a key product in Sony’s rebirth.”
