The annual report examines the top 100 most valuable brands in the world. It is published by InterBrand.
The report looks at the financial performance of branded products, the role the strength of the brand in customer choice and its ability to command a premium price.
According to InterBrand, Apple’s brand value is $98.3 billion. That figure was reached because of record sales of the iPhone and iPad, as well as the 72 million Macs sold.
InterBrand also highlighted the way that Apple has “created a seamless omni-channel experience for customers”.Google also did well in the latest report, rising to second. Last year’s number one, Coca Cola slipped to third. Other technology companies doing well in this year’s report include IBM,Microsoft, Samsung, Intel, Cisco, HP, Oracle and Amazon.
