BlackBerry is taking a new stance on offering BlackBerry 10 devices in USA, by surprising everyone by now offering unlocked devices via their ShopBlackBerry site. This is something that they've offered previously with legacy BlackBerry OS devices, but was not expected happen with BlackBerry 10 devices. This is likely an effort to regain a bit of the revenue that they've lost over the last two quarters with weak BlacKBerry Z10/Q10 sales. At a price tag of $449.99 for Z10 & $549.99 for Q10, these are on-par with the prices currently offered by carriers. So would you rather purchase an unlocked Z10 or Q10?
